KICET TECHNOLOGY
KICET Technology and
Spin-off Company Status
LUCENAIR’s core technology comes from the Korea Institute of Ceramic Engineering and Technology (KICET). This page sets out which technology was transferred, on what terms, and how we relate to KICET as a research institute spin-off company.
TRANSFERRED TECHNOLOGY
The technology we licensed
LUCENAIR CO., LTD. was founded on 20 October 2025 and is a research institute spin-off company that has signed a technology license agreement with the Korea Institute of Ceramic Engineering and Technology (KICET) for its “Activated carbon fiber manufacturing method and filter modularization technology” (Korean Patent No. 10-2880544). Under this agreement, we are commercializing the transferred technology.
The license is a non-exclusive license. KICET keeps the patent, and LUCENAIR may practice the technology in Korea during the term of the agreement.

RESEARCH INSTITUTE SPIN-OFF
Spin-off company status
A research institute spin-off company is set up inside an R&D special zone to turn a public research institute’s technology into a business, and the institute that provided the technology holds equity in it. LUCENAIR is a KICET research institute spin-off company in the Jinju R&D Special Zone.
FROM TECHNOLOGY TO PRODUCT
From technology to product
Activated carbon fiber technology from KICET becomes products through LUCENAIR’s material platform, and part of the sales goes back to KICET.

WHERE WE WORK
Research and production
inside KICET
Our head office is in the Composite Materials Building of KICET’s Ceramic Fiber Convergence Center. Close to where the technology came from, we test materials and design filter structures.
On top of the transferred activated carbon fiber technology, we add applied technologies such as MOF@Fiber loading, 4-layer composite filter design and low-temperature electric regeneration, and carry them through to products.
